چکیده
Seabed liquefaction and sediment resuspension under wave loading are key issues in marine engineering, but usually regarded as independent processes (instead of coexisting interacting processes). Here, we analyzed random wave-induced seabed its impact on using flume experiments. Results show that a nonliquefaction scenario, excess pore pressure the oscillates with fluctuations, accumulation is low, while consistent upward gradient promotes suspension. Wave-induced shear stress was driver scenario. In liquefied state, waves different amplitudes differently responded to pressure; small-amplitude accumulated pressure, large-amplitude dissipated it. Liquefied soil formed mud waves, creating elliptical motion along waves. accelerated following ways: reducing critical stress; forming seepage channels inside seabed; resulting increased turbulent kinetic energy; dissipating releasing porewater, expelling fine-grained from soil. Our study reveals variation silty effect resuspension, which significant for understanding movement silt.

The observation of internal solitary waves (ISWs) propagating upstream along a strongly stratified bottom layer on the California shelf is reported. An increased concentration of particulates in the water column accompanies the passage of these ISW packets. The estimated local Richardson number in the bottom vicinity is around 1/4, and a vertical coefficient of eddy diffusivity of order 1022 m2...

[1] Six months of current and acoustic backscatter data from an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) moored in the shelf off Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Mediterranean Sea) were analyzed. The presence of island trapped waves (ITWs) was determined by correspondence of energetic subinertial peaks in the alongshore current spectra with theoretical wave modes. Although currents in this area aver...
